Secret Chiefs 3
Trey Spruance's music. Been recording and touring with them since 2004. Not sure how much touring I will be able to do with them this year. Hopefully my man Danny Heifetz will make it from Australia to take back over.

Xiu Xiu
I am still recording and writing some music for Xiu Xiu. I have been off touring with them for the time being.

Trevor Dunn's Trio-Convulsant
With Trevor and Mary Halvorson on guitar.

Tim Berne's Los Totopos
w/ Oscar Noriega on clarinets, Matt Mitchell on piano and myself on percussion and drums. I think this is some of Tim's most intricate and lush writing. We rehearse a lot, thank God.

Ches Smith Trio
A brand new band with Jonathan Finlayson on trumpet and Stephan Crump on bass. The emphasis has been on rhythm, so far. I am looking forward to exploring the timbral aspects and collective interplay of the group. I think a lot of caffeine might be involved.

Ches Smith's Congs for Brums
My solo music. These are basically etudes--studies focusing on things I want to get happening in my drumming, vibraphone playing, electronics, misc percussion, or composing.

Good for Cows
A duo with bassist/composer Devin Hoff, which has been in existence for 10 years. For our fifth record, "Audumla" (Web of Mimicry) we switched to electric bass, and added electronics to the drums. We are finally playing metal.

Madlove
Trevor Dunn's music with Hilmar Jensson, Erik Deutsch, and Sunny Kim.

Marc Ribot's Ceramic Dog
with Shahzad Ismaily on bass and electronics. This band is back to a trio format. I think its about to get really crazy.

Mary Halvorson Trio/Quintet
With John Hebért, Jon Irabagon, and Jonathan Finlayson. Mary writes all the music.

Ches Smith and These Arches
Tim Berne, Tony Malaby, Mary Halvorson and Andrea Parkins interpreting tunes I write. There is a definite emphasis on collective improvisation. Our second record 'Hammered' will come out early 2013.
