International Hoohah

When For Tune asked to record These Arches’ Warsaw Jazz Summer Days 2012 set for a live release, I saw an opportunity to write new music for the band - nothing like a paying gig to justify rehearsals to learn new music! I wrote the extended piece International Hoohah in a couple of weeks, rehearsed it with Mary and Andrea who happened to be in NYC, then the three of us I met Tony and Tim in Warsaw to work on the music. I was pleased with the way it turned out: a high-quality recording of music which is by turns fragile, assertive, and bizarre. The vibe on the new pieces complimented the self-assured way we played the music we were already familiar with.
